What Municipal Clerks Need to know to Survive Municipal Elections during a Pandemic + Other Tips on Retaining Sanity (and Records) under Quarantine
As if municipal clerks do not have enough going on with a pandemic coupled with civil unrest, now they need to figure out how to serve as local election official under these conditions! This session will review the role that municipal clerks play during an election season, and update clerks on new procedures and laws during COVID-19. We will also review non-election developments related to COVID-19. Bring your questions and your stories!
To answer your question, yes, we will cover any questions they have about the November election as well as next year's municipal elections (consolidated primary and consolidated election). We will be covering the clerk's obligations related to the elections, so this would discuss petition packets, filings, all of that.
You can earn 1 point for per 2 hour session toward your CMC. To receive the points, you must complete the assessment that will be sent to you after each session and return in the allowable timeframe. After you return your assessment, you will receive a certificate showing the hours/points earned.
