This presentation will describe the broad movement for woman's rights that emerged in 19th-century America. Special attention will be paid to less traditionally known woman's rights activists such as Lucy Stone and Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, as well as to the broad array of issues and ideas that motivated early woman's rights activists.
