As an avocational archaeologist for over 30 years, Larry Kinsella has presented primitive technology and experimental archaeology to all ages through fun and educational programs. Larry Kinsella will speak at the Crawford County Forest Preserve about tools and weapons used by Native Americans, the materials selected, how they were made. He will be demonstrating the use of the stone axe for cutting and the spear/atlatl for hunting. He has devoted a great amount of time to this study and has a very keen insight. Marilyn Kinsella will be story telling. The Crawford County Forest Preserve is on IL. Rte.33 about 3 miles east of Oblong or 4 miles east of Robinson on the north side of highway. The building is on the north side of the large parking lot with substantial seating area inside.
