This series of discussions will focus on our attitudes, beliefs, and values regarding sexuality, much of which is learned from our families of origin. You can attend without any pressure to share. Three separate sessions will address these topics:
  • 10/13/21: What's Spirituality Got to Do with It? Participants will examine messages about sexuality from faith-based traditions, describe how those messages can impact us, and identify how our rights can be based on these beliefs.
  • 10/20/21: Exploring Online Relationships This session helps participants feel more comfortable using the internet to meet people and form relationships, while identifying and limiting possible online dangers. We'll have fun writing a personal ad describing ourselves (or a friend) - bring your imagination.
  • 10/27/21: Communication About Sex We will reflect on communication about sex in our families of origin, considering how it has affected our ability to talk about it today. We'll discuss feelings about slang words, and the importance of communicating openly with a partner)
    Class meets: 10/13/21, 10/20/21, 10/27/21
