In celebration of National Sewing Month, this lecture, discussion, and workshop will explore the role of American women in quilting. We will look at the earliest patchwork designs, hear excerpts from the makers' diaries and correspondence, and then spend the day sewing a sampling of the oldest American quilt blocks that can then become the start of a medallion quilt. Make it traditional or modern, all skill levels are welcome! Supply list sent upon registration. Patterns included in class fee. This class was originally scheduled in spring 2023, but had to be rescheduled.
